Secured Drinking Water Supply for Uddevalla Municipality
For Västvatten AB, Rodoverken has completed an extensive four-phase project, constructing four new drinking water reservoirs to replace outdated ones and to meet future demands arising from urban densification within the municipality. The first reservoir is located at Timanstorpet, Uddevalla, with a shell height of 7 meters and a diameter of 25 meters.
The reservoir is made of Duplex stainless steel, offering a unique combination of high strength, low weight, and long lifespan. This choice of material enables an efficient construction with thin sections while providing a robust and sustainable solution for future generations.
Rodoverken was responsible for the construction of the tank, including insulation, pickling, water filling, and coordination of subcontractors. Upon completion, NCC carried out groundwork around the facility, delivering a complete and functional result.
The project at Timanstorpet is part of Västvatten’s long-term strategy to modernize and strengthen water infrastructure.
